Maker: Unattributed  Pattern: Beauties of England and Wales
Plate c1825

The maker of this series of rural views remains unknown and most of the views are unidentified and items in this series are found rarely. Here the scene is of a rural church and in the foreground are cows and a duck-pond complete with ducks, which have attracted the attention of a passing mother and child. It is believed that the views were inspired by engravings in The Beauties of England and Wales or Delineations Topograhical, Historical and Descriptive by Britton and Brayley published in 26 volumes between 1801 to 1808 and containing almost 700 views
