ABBEY DUCIS COURTYARD

On the Southern side of the Neals Gardens stands Abbey Ducis, an Arts and Crafts
inspired dovecote and rabbit hutch. Inside reside two rabbits named Clive and
Celina Bradbury-Scott
and over two dozen domestic doves of mixed varieties. The Bradbury-Scotts are a
long
line of shelter-rescued rabbits who have lived with us since we occupied
Marc-James Manor.
Past members of the family include Anthea, Cloethlide and Bart.

An exceptional
pair of mid- Victorian painted bird windows with a mature
flowering pear in the background.
Photo was taken in 2003 when the windows hung in Marc-James Manor.
These windows now hang in the dovecote at the center of the of
Abby
Ducis Courtyard.
