Marc-James Manor Neal's Wood
Former Estate of James F. Neal and Marc R. Belair
...where it all began... The original Marc-James Manor opened in July of 1995.
Marc-James Manor was a contemporary English Country Manor House on
two acres of rising ground, landscaped in English and native gardens.
Marc-James commissioned Thor Myhre, a nationally respected artist in the field of metal sculpture, to create this custom sculptural ironwork leading to the main entry.

Custom Pennsylvania Blue Stone stairs led to expansive gardens.

Marc-James Manor was furnished with four centuries of ecclesiastic art and important ancestral antiques. It housed two libraries with books and incunabula dating back to the 14th Century, monumental stained and leaded glass windows and two impressive collections of English Ceramics. The Manor was situated in a country vicarage-style garden known as Neal’s Wood.

The two transom windows remain in the Marc-James collection. They originally were housed in the chapel at St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, CA and were removed following the destruction of the chapel during the San Francisco Earthquake in 1906.
