A superb Derby porcelain partial dessert service. The detail is so fine that you can see the ladybirds just starting to open their wings! All hand painted by one of Derby's foremost artists, Horatio Steele, the son of famous fruit painter Thomas Steel. Dates to c1820, and marked with early Bloor Derby mark, transferred by the thumb. |
