Antique Teapot Collection

The following pages contain photos and descriptions of several teapots from
the Sydney Powers Teapot Collection now on permanent display in the Marc-James Museum.
These teapots may be viewed by appointment at the Museum but are not available for sale.


A Staffordshire creamware Whieldon-type teapot and cover
circa 1760
Modeled as a gnarled tree-trunk, with crab-stock handle and shell finial,
sprigged with fruiting vine and molded with moss, enriched in mottled brown and green glazes.

salt glazed stoneware,
slip cast in the form
of a camel,
the handle molded
as a lamprey.

  Brownfield, Cobridge, c.1837
